It all began with a small rescue center called Gemma and Franklin Turtle Shelter, founded by my father, Michael Franklin, in Port St. Joe, Florida.
For years, this humble shelter has been a safe haven where injured and endangered sea turtles found care, healing, and the chance to return to the ocean.

Growing up, I watched my father dedicate his life to these gentle creatures — nursing them back to health, protecting their eggs, and releasing them back into the waves. To him, it was never just rescue work; it was a mission of love, patience, and hope.

Inspired by his lifelong passion, we created WildJourney™.
